Not too shabby for Chile, a country that the US tends to ignore except when we want some nice grapes in the winter. The first conservative victor since General AugustoPinochet (who won via a coup d'etat supported by the CIA), Mr Pinera made his fortune by introducing credit cards to Chile, and currently owns 100% of the FOX-like Chilevisión. |
